Book Description

Fundamentals of Machine Design, Volume 2 is an easy-to-read book that covers the subject of machine design (PDF) provides in-depth talks of several design concepts, including belts, pulleys, chain drives, ropes, and kit bins. This book is a follow-up to the first volume and addresses the many types, qualities, benefits, and choice aspects of belt drives, grooved pulleys, flat belt pulleys, and cable drives. The construction characteristics, attributes, categorization, and design method of important bearings, including hydrodynamic and rolling bearings, are then discussed in detail in the next section. The discussion then go on to cover a wide variety of different kinds of components that are found in I.C. engines, such as the cylinder, connecting rod, crank shaft, piston, valve gears, clutches, flywheels, and brakes. In addition, the applications and advantages of worm and worm wheel drives as well as strain vessels are presented here.
